Stress can disrupt digestion by altering gut motility and blood flow. It is associated with:

  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms such as bloating, cramps, and diarrhea.

  • Increased acid production, which can exacerbate acid reflux and ulcers.

Chronic stress impacts hormone regulation, including insulin sensitivity and appetite regulation. This can lead to:

  • Disrupted blood sugar control, increasing the likelihood of type 2 diabetes.
